Jose Adolfo Gaitan, 71, of Ottumwa, died at 7:47 a.m. September 8, 2024 at Ridgewood Specialty Care.
He was born September 17, 1952 in El Salvador to Jose Rivas and Blanca Gaitan. He married Rosa Imelda Gaitan-Ordonez on March 24, 2006.
A resident of the United States since 2012, he lived in California before moving to Iowa.
Surviving is his wife, Rosa; his children, Evelyn Janet Ordonez-Gaitan, Jose Adolfo Gaitan, Luis Ernesto Gaitan and Mirna Sierra, all of El Salvador; many grandchildren; several siblings including Alva Gaita and Rosa Batrez.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
His body has been cremated and no services are planned.
