Russell Joseph Stewart, 73, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on August 5, 2024 at his home. He was a beloved husband, father, and friend to many and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He was born on October 13, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Harold and Jayne Robertson Stewart. Russell loved his children dearly as-well-as camping with friends and family, fishing, and the Pittsburg Steelers!
Russell is survived by his loving wife, Mildred Pearson-Stewart; children, Kellie Jean (Damian) Shipley, Elizabeth Driggers, April (Dereck) Hormann, Alissa (Stephen) Fisher; sister, Patsy Stewart; grandchildren, Kaia Shipley, Troy Shipley, Makenzi Driggers, Robert Driggers III, Shelby (Jordan) Leonard, Nick Hormann, Dylan Hormann, Austin Porter, Bethaney Porter; and nieces, Cassie Stewart and Abby (Tony) Stewart.
Russell was a simple man who really wanted no fuss made, therefore he chose to be cremated and have no visitation or service. He did wish, in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made to the Mutchler Center in Bloomfield. Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield is handling arrangements.
