Robert L. Collins, 83, of Ottumwa, died at 9:19 a.m. July 29, 2024 in Albia.
He was born April 3, 1941 in Ottumwa to Henry and Lucille McGoldrick Collins. Bob married Annette Tillotson on February 21, 2009.
Bob attended First Pentecostal Assembly of God.
He had worked in construction, had worked for Allied Van Lines, Lyles Roofing and had been a part time over the road trucker.
Surviving is his wife, Annette; his children, Cindy (Scott) DenHartog of Oskaloosa, Robert David (Penny) Collins of Monroe and Randy Collins of Ottumwa; several step-children; 3 grandchildren, Greg Collins, Ryan Grimes and Lee Grimes; 4 great-grandchildren, Riley, Lacey, Jenna and Abbey; many step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Emma Heckethorn of Ottumwa, Henry (Ruby) Collins Jr. of Seattle, WA, Everette (Ellen) Collins of Cedar Rapids and Rick (Joanne) Collins of Arkansas; and half-brothers, Tom Collins and Charles Collins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Virginia White and Dixie Dixon; 4 brothers, Ronnie Collins, Albert Collins and infants David and Charles Collins.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 1st, at First Pentecostal Assembly of God with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to First Pentecostal Assembly of God or Compassion International.
