Fairfield Pharmacist Stole Prescription Drugs for 6 Years


A Fairfield pharmacist admitted to stealing prescription drugs for six years.

Bryan Vander Linden, a licensed pharmacist and owner of Summit Pharmacy located at 300 West Burlington Avenue, self-reported to the Pharmacy Board of the State of Iowa that he took prescription drugs from his own pharmacy for his own personal use.

On April 4, Vander Linden admitted to the Board that he had stolen CII controlled substances from the pharmacy. According to the Board, on May 14 Vander Linden agreed to his suspension from practicing pharmacy in the State of Iowa. He is restricted from entering Summit Pharmacy and accessing any records.

No criminal charges have been filed against Vander Linden.
