A search warrant executed by law enforcement resulted in the arrest of an Ottumwa man Wednesday morning.

Officers from the Ottumwa Police Department’s Emergency Response Team, Wapello County Sheriff’s Office, and the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Task Force carried out the search warrant at 533 Chester Avenue in Ottumwa as part of a drug investigation.

Police say distribution quantities of marijuana, cash, and a firearm were found in the search.

27-year-old Hser Ku Htoo was taken into custody and charged with possession with the intent to deliver marijuana (within 1,000 feet of school) and failure to affix a drug tax stamp. Both offenses are Class D felonies.

Htoo is currently free after posting bond.

The investigation is ongoing, according to police, and additional arrests are expected.
