A Centerville Schools staffer on administrative leave has agreed to resign.

The Centerville School Board accepted the resignation of Ryan Hodges (left in the image) earlier this month. He served as a counselor and head baseball coach at Centerville High School. Hodges had been on administrative leave since December pending an internal investigation and review by the Centerville Community School District.

Hodges was one of two staffers that was placed on leave. Matthew Kruzich (right), a physical education teacher at the high school, was the other staff member. Kruzich has since returned to work, according to the school district.

In a statement released by the Centerville Community School District in December, allegations made against one staff member are of a personal nature involving another adult who does not work in the school district. While the issue is not school-related, the district says some of the alleged communication took place on district time. The second employee was placed on leave due to allegations of inappropriate behavior with a minor. The district says law enforcement was contacted and an investigation was launched.

The district did not say which investigation applied to which employee.
