A trial date for a Fairfield teenager accused of murdering a teacher was announced.
The jury trial for Jeremy Goodale, 17, has been scheduled for May 15th at the Scott County Courthouse in Davenport.
Goodale’s pre-trial conference is slated for May 4th at the Jefferson County Courthouse in Fairfield.
Goodale has been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit a forcible felony. He’s pleaded not guilty.
Authorities say Goodale and Willard Miller, 17, beat 66-year-old Nohema Graber to death with a baseball bat and hid her body under a tarp and railroad ties. Goodale and Miller were both 16 when the killing occurred last November. Investigators say the pair later bragged about the murder on social media.
