Dick Edward Stickler, age 82, of Centerville, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at Putnam County Care Center in Unionville, Missouri.

Dick was born on October 10, 1940, the son of Jess Gerald and Nellie (Coates) Stickler.  He graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1959.  He continued his education at Indian Hills Community College for a year.  On June 6, 1965, Dick was united in marriage to Beverly Rose Anders at the Centerville First Baptist Church, and to this union, three children were born, Steve, Mike and Becky.

On December 2, 1963 Dick entered into the United States Army.  He served his country faithfully, being honorably discharged on August 4, 1969 as a Sergeant Five with the 224th Engineer BN Iowa ARNG.

Dick worked as a farmer and as a supervisor at Young Radiator in Centerville.  He retired from both of them.  During retirement, he worked various side jobs including Barkers, Deflecta Shield and Shivers.  Dick enjoyed farming, auctions and going to flea markets in his spare time.

Left to honor Dick’s memory are his wife of 57 years, Bev Stickler; his children, Steve Stickler, Mike (Julie) Stickler, and Becky Stickler; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a sister Mary (Merrill) Porter; as well as several extended family members.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Nellie Stickler; and his siblings, Gerald Stickler, Ralph Stickler, Joanie DeGroot, and Joe Stickler.
