Richard Otis McCoy, 79, of Ottumwa died at 9:55 p.m. August 19, 2022 at his home.
He was born January 21, 1943 in Agency to Lawrence and Celetha Haines McCoy. He married Vickie Lennie on June 26, 1962 in Fairfield.
A resident of Ottumwa most of his life, Richard had worked 30 years at John Deere Ottumwa Works, retiring in 1996.
He enjoyed working on cars, camping and traveling for his hobbies.
Surviving is his wife, Vickie; a son, Scott (Lisa) McCoy of Ottumwa; two daughters, Julie (David) Knotts, Ronda (Kurt) Konrad, both of Ottumwa; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; siblings, Dave McCoy of Dysart, Judy Jordan of Agency, and Doug McCoy of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard Allan; a granddaughter, Lacie Victoria Hannam; siblings, Bonnie Huddleston, Linda Berry, Rose McKinney, Georgia Jones, Betty Walker, and Laverne McCoy.
Graveside memorial services and inurnment will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 24th in Agency Cemetery.
