Reginald “Reggie” Ira VanDyne passed away on August 13, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

Reggie was born to Verlan and Anna VanDyne on September 21, 1958.  He grew up being the youngest of eight children.  He loved all of his family. 

Reggie enjoyed going rock hunting, fishing and collecting horses and Indians.  He watched every Cardinal’s baseball game he could.  Reggie spent most of his life running heavy equipment for different rock quarries and construction companies. 

Reggie fell ill in the fall of 2014 and was diagnosed with lung cancer and COPD.  He fought long and hard for the last eight years.  He is now able to breathe again.

Left to honor Reggie’s memory are his wife of 42 years, Debbie; his daughter, Jamie (Bruce), son, Jered (Shawna), son, Shane (Kelly), daughter, Allie and daughter, Jessie (Levi); 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; his four sisters, Cheri, Connie (Jim), Carol (Clayton), Coly; his three brothers, Rod (JoAnn), Roger and Randy (Diane); as well as several nieces and nephews.

Reggie was preceded in death by his parents, Verlan and Anna VanDyne; as well as several extended family members and friends.

Per Reggie’s wishes, cremation will be accorded, and no services will be held at this time.    Memorial may be sent to his wife, Debbie VanDyne, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, ATTN: VanDyne family, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.  Condolences may be shared online at www.langefh.com or on our funeral home Facebook page.
