Warriors fall to Golden Hawks in the District Final 15-3

The Van Buren County Warriors fell to the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks 15-3 in the District 11 Final

The game started with a bang when Jackson Manning hit a solo home run to left. The Warriors would strand two other hits in the inning. The Golden Hawks would answer swiftly in the bottom of the first. The Golden Hawks would get RBIs from Karson Grout and Dylan Henry to lead 2-1 after one inning. The Warriors would strand two in the top of the second, and the Golden Hawks would open up the game in the bottom half of the inning. The bottom of the second saw the Golden Hawks score six runs, capped off by a Karson Grout Grand-Slam to give the Golden Hawks an 8-1 lead after 2. Over the next two innings the Warriors would be sat down six up and six down. The Golden Hawks would score seven runs, one in the third and six in the fourth inning to give the Hawks the 15-1 lead after four innings. The Warriors would not go down without a fight. They would score two runs highlighted by an Izaak Loeffler RBI single, as the Warriors fell 15-3

The Warriors wrap up the season at 12-16, for Mid-Prairie they advance to the Class 2A Substate 6 Final Tuesday night where they will take on 2A #6 West Marshall at Solon
