The Pekin Panther softball team knocked of the Lone Tree Lions 8-6 to improve to 3-4
The Panther softball team would score in each of the first four innings. The scoring would be highlighted by a four-run second, as the Panthers lead 7-0 going into the bottom of the fourth. The Lions would burst out in the bottom of the fourth with five runs to cut the Panther lead to 7-5. The Lions would claw back within on with a run in the bottom of the sixth to make it 7-6, however the Panthers would tack on one in the top of the seventh and go on to win 8-6
With the win the Panther softball team improves to 3-4, while the Lions fall to 4-5
Up next for the Panthers they host 2A #10 Louisa-Muscatine (9-1), while the Lions travel to Wapello (5-3)
