Panther baseball shuts out the Falcons for a five-inning win 11-0

The Pekin Panther baseball team knocked off the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons 11-0 in five innings

Both teams would be held scoreless in the opening frame. In the second the Falcons would only manage one runner that would get on via an error. The Panthers would bust the game open in the bottom of the second with five runs. The inning was highlighted by a Chase Stansberry home-run, and the Panthers would hold a 5-0 lead after two innings. The third saw the Falcons get two runners on but would strand both of them. The Panthers would have another strong inning in the third. In the inning, the Panthers would collect five hits, four of which were doubles. That would lead to a five-run Panther inning to give the Panthers a 10-0 lead after three innings. The Falcons again would get a pair of runners, this time into scoring position in the fourth inning. However, the Panthers would once again strand them. The Panthers would add to their lead off a Jaedon Wolver home run to lead 11-0 after four innings. The Panthers would go on to win 11-0

Panther stats: Colton Comstock–Win, 5IP, 4H, 0R, 1BB, 1HBP and 6K and batted 2 singles, 2 runs scored, 2 RBIs; Chase Stansberry a double, a home run and 5 RBIs; Jaedon Wolver with a single, a double, a home run, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI

With the win the Panthers improve to 4-6/3-3, the loss drops Louisa-Muscatine to 2-7/2-4
