David H. Steen, 74, of Agency, died at 10:10 a.m. June 15, 2022 at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.
David was born January 28, 1948 in Ottumwa to Charles O. and Myrtle Icyphene Steele Steen.
A resident of Agency most of his life, David had worked at Whitman’s Nursery, at Tenco Industries and at Cargill in Eddyville. He also had a newspaper delivery route and mowed lawns for many people.
David attended Faith Baptist Church and Last Days Ministries. He enjoyed hunting but loved fishing and also enjoyed shooting the breeze with the farmers at the BP.
Surviving is his brother, Tim Steen (Monica Bride) of Ottumwa; a sister, Loretta (Larry) Hall of Illinois; and sister-in-law, Sharon Steen of Eldon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Verle “Butch” Steen, Charles Steen Jr., Frances Steen, Charlotte McHugh and Martha Steen.
Visitation will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 19th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 20th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Garry Shepherd officiating. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in McCormick Cemetery near Highland Center.
