Dorrian (Randy) Wilkins, age 54 of Exline, IA passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at home after several years of battling many health issues.

On March 29, 1985 he was joined in marriage with Lisa Davis in Davenport, IA.  To this union were born five children whom he loved dearly, Scott, Jenna, Jaimie, Jessica, and Shane.

Randy served in the military, worked as an electrician, and as a truck driver.  He had a passion for technology, including software design and computer repair.  Randy loved his family gatherings where he was the only chef.  The more people he could cook for, the happier he was.  He was very proud of his pilot’s license.  Although he loved his entire family, no one had his heart quite like his beloved little dog, Trigger.

According to Randy’s brother Royce, “Randy was an intelligent, resourceful person that lived a very complicated life. Most would find him too hard to deal with, while others would find him willing to help fix anything and sometimes, you would find yourself stuck between both. In the end, the medical issues and medication really controlled the outcome, but that was not the case most of his life! He was very set in his ways but almost always would give up part of his life and families to help others. We traded those events over time between me, him and our sister. He always tried to do the right thing even if he really should not have. He will be greatly missed, along with our sister, mother, and stepfather.”

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Schwerdtfeger and Bill Wilkins; his sister, Stacie Wilkins; his grandparents; as well as many good friends.

He is survived by his wife of thirty six years, Lisa Wilkins of Exline, IA; sons, Scott (Marissa) Wilkins of Corydon, IA and Shane Wilkins of Exline, IA; daughters, Jenna (Kalab) Dover of Unionville, MO, Jaimie (Tim) Davis of Moravia, IA, and Jessica Wilkins (John) of Centerville, IA; sixteen grandchildren; brother, Royce (Moira) Wilkins of Illinois; his stepfather, Alfred Schwerdtfeger of Illinois; many nieces, nephews, and extended family; as well as several close friends.

A visitation honoring Randy will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville from 5-7 PM.  Following the visitation, cremation will occur in accordance with Randy’s wishes.  A memorial has been established to Lisa Wilkins and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St, Centerville, IA, 52544.  Condolences may be shared online at www.langefh.com or on our Facebook page.
