The Wapello County Trails Council announced three Spring cleanups with the first scheduled for this weekend.
Participants are being asked to meet at the playground next to the Rotary exercise equipment or near the Yesway station at 1317 E. Mary St. at 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 9th for the first cleanup.
Cleanups will also be held on Saturday, April 23 at 9:00 AM at the Gray Eagle parking lot across from JBS on Emma Street to the south of the intersection of Highway 34 and Iowa Avenue and Saturday, April 30 at 9:00 AM at The Beach Ottumwa parking lot near the levee.
Gloves and trash bags will be provided to all volunteers.
According to the trails council, the Spring cleanups are being held in conjunction with Earth Day.
