A southeast Iowa man who authorities say was involved in a cross-county chase with law enforcement in January received his sentence for multiple offenses.

According to a plea bargain, 31-year-old Bryce Gaylord of Fairfield was convicted of domestic abuse assault-second offense in Washington County and eluding in Jefferson County. Gaylord was sentenced to two years in prison.

Per the plea agreement, the Washington County charges of violation of a no-contact order and interference in official acts were dismissed.

Gaylord still faces a charge of tampering with a witness in Washington County, an aggravated misdemeanor. He is scheduled to be arraigned on April 27th.

On January 14th, court records say Gaylord, who had multiple active warrants at the time, led law enforcement on a chase that started on Highway 78 East and came to a conclusion near 270th Avenue south of Ollie.
