A southeast Iowa man was sentenced to over a decade in federal prison for dealing drugs in Henry County.

The Southern District of Iowa says 35-year-old Daniel Fritzjunker pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. He was sentenced last week to 12 years in prison.

According to court documents, an investigation by the Mount Pleasant Police Department received information and repeatedly identified Fritzjunker as a major source of methamphetamine in the area. Fritzjunker admitted to his involvement in interviews with law enforcement.

In addition to his prison sentence, Fritzjunker was ordered to serve five years of supervised release to follow his prison term and immediately pay a $100 Special Assessment to the Crime Victims’ Fund.
