Jackie Dawn Seibert, 64, of Ottumwa, died at 10:35 a.m. March 3, 2022 at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.

Jackie was born June 5, 1957 in Ottumwa to Delbert and Effie Elaine Ashmead Wood.

A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, Jackie grew up in California. She earned a CNA certificate from Indian Hills Community College. She had worked at BP at the corner of Jefferson and Gara, worked at in-home health care and had worked at Sunnyslope Care Center. Jackie was a long-time bartender who made a lot of people smile and made a mean bloody Mary.

Jackie enjoyed playing cribbage and shuffleboard and was a mother to many people.

Surviving are her children, Summer (Larry) Collett Babcock of Ottumwa and Ty (Montana) Seibert of Birmingham; 9 grandchildren, Justice and Carol Hipshur, Aurora, Owen and Brittany Babcock, Kessler, Hope, Payson and Presley Jo Seibert; sisters, Nancy (Fred) Long and Debbie Quick both of Ottumwa; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Jess Rifenberry, who helped raise her; a sister, Judith Rupe; two brothers, Tom and Jim Wood; and a grandson, Barker Seibert.

The family will be present to greet friends from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, March 8th at Reece Funeral Home.

Cremation will follow the visitation. Inurnment will be in Shaul Cemetery at a later date.
