Two teens arrested for Schaefer arson


The Ottumwa Police and Fire Departments wrapped up an arson investigation today with the arrest of two juveniles. On November 30th, the Fire Department was called to the concession stand at Schaefer Stadium to extinguish a fire that was quickly determined to be arson.

Two juveniles, both aged 14 and both of Ottumwa, were arrested and charged with Arson, a class “C” felony, Burglary, a class “D” felony, criminal mischief, a class “D” felony, and theft, a class “D” felony. Ottumwa radio does not name juveniles in connection with criminal charges.

The Ottumwa Police Department and Ottumwa Fire Department participated in this investigation.
