(Ottumwa)— An elementary student in Ottumwa escaped injury following an accident Thursday morning at the intersection of Traxler and Mary Street.
Officials say a 5th grade student was hit by a vehicle as she was serving as a school patrol. The student stepped out in front of a car and was hit. As a precaution an ambulance was summoned to the scene as was the student’s mother.
