Oskaloosa Shooting Brings One Victim and Many Questions

Oskaloosa Police Officers found one victim shot when they arrived at the scene of a shooting at 10:49 p.m. on Saturday, July 14.

Officers were dispatched to the 600th block of 4th Ave. East for a possible shooting. When they arrived, they found the occupant of the home had been shot in the lower back, and the house itself had been shot at multiple times. The victims injuries were non life-threatening, but they were taken to the local hospital.

The investigation is still open, and there is no further information at this time. If members of the community have any helpful information they are encouraged to contact the local police department.
