By Aaryn Frazier, May 22, 2018

The League of Women Voters of Ottumwa will hold a Candidate Forum at City Hall.

The forum is open to the public, and begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 31. Attendees are asked to use the 4th Street entrance accessible by the library-facing north door.

Candidates invited are facing opposition and seeking party nominations. The nominees for House District 80, Senate District 41 and the Wapello County Board of Supervisors will all be in attendance.

Seating begins at 7 p.m. with Mary Stewart and Ed Malloy. Followed by Daniel Cesar and Mariannette Miller-Meeks (7:20 p.m.), Richard Kellig Jr. and Holly Brink (7:40 p.m.). At 8 p.m., Frank Flanders, Russell Hull, Wayne A. Huit, Jerry Parker and Dan Stroda will finish out the night.

Anyone is able to a question of any candidate, but it must be written on a provided card and signed. League will only ask one question. They are also providing a timer and moderator to keep times consistent.

League sponsors Candidate Forums to allow voters to see and hear Candidates talk about issues, so Voters can make an informed decision when voting on Tuesday June 5. For any questions contact Jean Dell at (641) 680-5885.
