Thursday, June 14:

4-9 pm – Concession Stand open in Central Park ~ All proceeds support Brighton Lions

5:30–7:00 pm – Bingo at Community Center

6-7 pm – Abe Miller “Hometown Harmony” ~ City Park stage

6-10 pm – Carnival ~ Amusement Associates

6-10 pm – Karaoke Contest w/ Slo Moes ~ CaManders Bar & Grill

7 pm – Introduction of Grand Marshals ~ City park stage

7:30 pm – Eric Michaels Magic & Illusion ~ City Park stage

 

Friday, June 15:

4-10 pm – Carnival ~ Amusement Associates

4 -9 pm  – Concession Stand open in City Park ~ All proceeds support Brighton Lions

5:30 – 7 pm – Bingo at Community Center

5:30 pm – “Little Darling” Cute Kids Contest  ~ City Park stage

7:30 pm –Bill Riley Talent show ~ City Park stage

8 pm-12 am  – Street Dance/Beer Garden with Kross Kountry ~ CaManders Bar & Grill

 

Saturday, June 16:

7:00 am – Whoopee Walk ~ Meet at Community Center

7:00 am – Ding Darling Highway Tractor Ride to Lake Darling ~ Lineup at Terry’s Feed

7-9 am  – Lion’s Breakfast ~ Community Center

9 am – Parade line up

9 am – 1 pm –Christner’s 1920 Station open  ~ across from City Hall

9:30 am – Parade float judging

10 am – 108th Whoopee Days Parade ~ Made in the USA 2018

11 am – Brighton Chamber Mud Run Concession Stand opens ~ Ball Field

11 am-4pm- Vendor Fair ~ City Park Tent. Register on Brighton Chamber Facebook

11 am-1 pm – Face Painting by artist Judy Bloom – after the parade ~ City park tent

11 am-9 pm – Brighton Lions Concession Stand opens ~ City Park

11:00 am – 10 pm –Carnival ~ Amusement Associates

11:15 am – Mud Run Registration at Brighton Ball Fields

11:30 am – 3 pm – Hawkeye Pedal Tractor Pull open to ages 4 – 11 years  ~Basketball Court 11am registration

1 pm – Mud Run at Brighton Ball Field

1:30 pm- Cemetery Walk-Early History of Brighton~From First Settlors to Civil War~ Meet at Hillcrest Cemetery

3 pm – Brighton Homecoming ~ Community Center

4 pm – “Best Darn Cookie” Contest ~ Community Center

5 pm  – Whoopee Pie Eating Contest ~ City Park sponsored by Washington HyVee

5:30 – Washington County Freedom Rock Dedication & Laying of the Wreath in honor of Craig              Rich ~ Corner of HWY 1 & 78

6 pm – “Those Who Serve” – CW3 Joe Mineart  & Cheyenne Miller~ City Park stage

6:30 pm- Washington Municipal Band performs ~ City Park stage

8 pm-12 am  – Street Dance/Beer Garden with Kross Kountry ~ CaManders Bar & Grill

 

Also on display Saturday – University of Iowa Mobile Education Unit, DNR Mobile Education Unit, Spirit of Iowa Tribute Bell

 

Sunday, June 17

10 am  – Community Ecumenical Church Service at City Park

 

Bring your lawn chairs.

Rain location for City Park events is the Brighton Gym.
