We are seeking minimum of 2 volunteers to help with a group of first grade girls who have meet this year only a few times due to a lack of leaders. This Girl Scout membership year goes through September 31st 2016 so it would be approximately a 6 month volunteer opportunity, with the option to continue on next year. The time commitment is up to the volunteer and the number of meetings/outings you decide to plan.

Volunteering with Girl Scouts is a wonderful way to impact girls in your community. Through Girl Scouts, girls experience new things, make new friends, discover their passions—all while having fun! As a volunteer, you will be instilling values in girls that will last long after troop meetings end. We would love for this group of 1st grade girls to have the Girl Scout experience, we just need volunteers to make it happen!

The next step will be registering as a Girl Scout volunteer and completing the background check. There is a $15 membership fee for volunteers which covers insurance and the background check. Financial assistance is available for those who cannot pay the membership fee.
