To Host a Baseball Camp
Securing a Better Baseball Future (SBBF) will be sponsoring a Baseball Camp for all youth ages 8-14 on Saturday February 25th from 9-3:30. The camp will be held at the Indian Hills Community College Net Center located on the Indian Hill Ottumwa Campus.
The OHS Baseball coaching staff along with their varsity players as well as Colton & Calvin Mathews will work with the youth and focus on proper skills and technique. Youth will be divided into age groups and work in small groups to learn more about the sport of baseball.
There will be two age group divisions with youth ages 7-10 in the morning and youth 11-14 in the afternoon. The cost for the camp is $15.00 a player or $20.00 max a family. Each youth that signs up for the camp will receive a t-shirt. Youth that are already signed up to play the 2017 Babe Ruth season can attend with no charge.
Babe Ruth League sign-ups will also be taking place at the camp for youth to enroll for the spring/summer league.
