OTTUMWA – William Eugene Harmon, 44, of 225 S. Adella died April 14, 2017 at his home.
He was born February 6, 1973 in Alta, IA, the son of Forest Eugene and Bernice Ann Kellogg Harmon.
A resident of Ottumwa most of his life, Bill had worked for Waste Management, a moving company, making burial vaults and delivering pizzas. For the past 3 years he had worked for American Bottling. He enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms, riding his motorcycle, attending auctions and visiting casinos.
Surviving is his daughter, Hailey Harmon; his mother, Bernice Harmon of Ottumwa; 6 siblings, Theresa Shaw of Ottumwa; Nancy Parker of Ottumwa; Sheila (Steve) Kono of Grimes, Raymond “John” (Barb) Shaw of Ottumwa, Allen Shaw of Ottumwa and Burley (Gayle) Harmon of Sully; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Forest Harmon.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the services.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to the family for his daughter’s education.
