Animal Neglect case under investigation

(Drakesville)— A case of neglected animals is under investigation by the Davis County sheriff’s Department in Bloomfield.
Davis County deputy sheriff Josh O’Dell told Ottumwa radio a search warrant was executed by the Ottumwa Police Department to a residence in Drakesville. O’Dell says the case involves numerous and various types of animals.
O’Dell says officials from the Heartland Humane Society,and the Iowa animal Rescue League are involved in the case.
More information on the case is expected to be released by the Davis County sheriff’s Department later today or early Saturday morning.
